A new toll highway to be set between Antalya and Alanya
The Antalya-Alanya highway project is set to be a game changer for transportation in the region. The 155-kilometer-long highway will connect Antalya to the popular tourist destination of Alanya. According to Şenol Altıok, Regional Director of Highways, the project is on track to be completed by the end of this year.
The Antalya-Alanya highway is set to take a scenic route, beginning at the Serik junction and winding its way east along the base of the Taurus Mountains, passing through the districts of Serik and Manavgat, before reaching its final destination at the West junction in the northern area of Konakli.
The Antalya-Alanya highway project will comprise 10 tunnels with a total length of 22,400 meters, 25 viaducts measuring 11,000 meters, 46 overpasses, 54 underpasses, and 44 bridges. The highway will span 122 kilometers, with 84 kilometers being the main road and the remaining 38 kilometers being connection roads. The estimated cost of the project is 7 billion Turkish lira.
This ambitious project promises to bring benefits to the region in terms of both economic development and improved quality of life for residents and visitors. The Antalya-Alanya highway will not only make travel between the two cities more convenient, but also open up new opportunities for business and tourism.
