A Vibrant Tourist Hub in the Mediterranean Region
Due to its location and geographical structure, Antalya is one of the most important tourist centers of Turkey in the Mediterranean region.
It is located in the area between the southern part of the Western Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. Red pines can be seen from high above the town. The only river that flows through Antalya is the Aksu River in the east of the city, where Duden Waterfall is also located.
The climate of Antalya Province is generally Mediterranean.
The area around Antalya has a variety of underground resources.
The province hosts the Antalya Plain, which plays an important role in Turkish agriculture due to its agricultural potential and ecological suitability. About one-fifth of the area is used for agriculture.
