Antalya is shining as a new global hub for golf

In addition to being a global tourist resort attracting millions from around the world, Antalya, a city on the Mediterranean coast, has become a new hub for golf players due to its warm climate and elegant golf courses.

According to the Antalya Golf Club, the city, which boasts 16 high-level golf courses, hosted over 120,000 golf players from 30 countries this year.

Ferid Turgut, the head of the Turkish Travel Agencies Association in the Mediterranean region, stated that golf players worldwide are increasingly preferring Antalya. Turkish travel agencies receive numerous requests from golf professionals globally to participate in the important tournaments regularly held in Antalya.

Antalya annually hosts the Turkish Airlines Open, one of the world's major golf tournaments that brings together top golf players. The tournament has been an essential part of the European Tour schedule since 2013, with a total prize pool of seven million US dollars.
