Antalya in Fourth Place Globally Among the Most Visited Tourist Destinations

The Turkish city of Antalya secured the fourth position globally in the list of the most visited tourist destinations during the past year 2022.

This was stated in a report published by the international firm "Deloitte", specializing in auditing and consulting, focusing on the tourism and hospitality sector.

The report mentioned that Antalya welcomed approximately 47 million visitors last year, positioning it fourth globally among the most attractive tourist destinations.

In the first half of the current year 2023, Antalya received 25 million visitors, marking a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2022.

The report also indicated that the tourism revenues in Antalya reached 20 billion dollars during the first half of this year, recording a growth of 25% on an annual basis.

In a related context, Antalya International Airport ranked sixth globally among airports for the most organized scheduled flights compared to its counterparts around the world.

Additionally, Antalya topped the list of Turkish cities in terms of tourist reception, with 12.5 million tourists visiting in the first half of 2023.
