Antalya receives more than two million tourists during the month of June

The city of Antalya, on the Mediterranean Sea, in southern Turkey, received about two million and 11 thousand tourists last June.

The number of tourists also increased by 27.29% compared to the same month last year.

Antalya is better than Istanbul

The state of Antalya ranked first among the Turkish states most welcoming to foreign tourists, as Istanbul ranked second with 984 thousand and 28 tourists, while Mugla came in third place with 344 thousand and 814 tourists.

Russians ranked first with 42.56% of the most visited tourists to Turkey, with 388,456 tourists.

In second place comes German tourists, whose number reached last month with 254,406 tourists.

Then the Ukrainians numbered 153 thousand and 961 tourists, followed by the British with 91 thousand and 518 tourists.

Who numbered about 2,869,442 tourists, an increase of 38% compared to the same period last year.

This came according to data published by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
