On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, Qatar Airways landed its first direct flight from the capital, Doha, to the Turkish state of Antalya, at Antalya International Airport.

A ceremony was held at Antalya International Airport to welcome 144 passengers who were on board the first direct Qatar Airways flight from Hamad International Airport.

The Director of Southeast European Affairs at Qatar Airways said, "Antalya has become the latest destination for Qatar Airways among more than 150 global destinations for the company."

He pointed out that Antalya has become the seventh destination for Qatar Airways in Turkey.

Qatar Airways has increased the number of its flights to Turkey to 48 flights per week.

It is expected that Qatar Airways will operate two seasonal flights to Antalya on Sunday and Wednesday of each week until September 30th.

This is done through an Airbus A320 aircraft, which includes 12 seats in Business Class and 132 seats in Economy Class.

It is noteworthy that the national carrier of the State of Qatar operates flights to seven cities in Turkey.

With two flights per day to Sabiha Gokcen Airport in Istanbul,

and 10 flights per week to Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, and three flights to Adana,

Three flights a week to Hatay, and a daily trip to Ankara.
