Turkey Ranks Fifth Globally in Tourist Arrivals for 2023
According to a report published by the international auditing and consulting company Ernst & Young on the tourism and accommodation sector, Turkey secured the fifth position globally in terms of the most visited countries in the past year, 2022.
The report reveals that Turkey welcomed a total of 51 million visitors, solidifying its position among the top tourist destinations.

In the first half of the current year, 2023, Turkey continued its tourism success by hosting 22 million visitors, marking a remarkable growth of 21 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
The report also highlighted that Turkey's tourism revenues reached $21.7 billion during the first half of this year, achieving a 27 percent annual growth.
In a related context, Istanbul International Airport claimed the seventh spot globally among the most organized airports for scheduled flights.
Additionally, Istanbul topped the list of Turkish cities that attracted the most tourists, with 11.524 million visitors in the first half of 2023.
