The opening of Akev Private University in Belek

Antalya in line with the start of the new academic year on September 2017

The Turkish government has always been keen on promoting higher education, and this has been evident lately through steps taken by the government to build top-notch universities and institutions to lure and attract students from all over the world.

The new Akev Private University which is scheduled to open its doors on September 2017 is an example of the Turkish government commitment and Antalya in particular to the education sector.

Antalya is considered an integrated city recognized as a tourist, cultural and economic hub. Accordingly, the city is working restlessly on improving and developing its facilities and infrastructure.

In addition to Akdeniz (Mediterranean) State University and Antalya International Private University, Antalya has added one more university in Belek.

Akev University agenda – study in Antalya

The university will be able to accommodate 1,500 students covering various academic majors upon opening in September 2017.

2018 will witness the inauguration of the 2^nd stage where the university would be able to accommodate 3,000 students in various academic majors.

By the 3^rd stage scheduled for 2020, the university will be able to accommodate 11,000 students in various academic majors.

In comparison, Akdeniz (Mediterranean) University which is considered the largest academic university in Southern Turkey has a capacity to accommodate 13,000 students.

The academic majors available at Akev University as it opens its doors in 2017 are:

• College of Literature
• College of Mathematics
• College of Physics
• College of Economics
• College of Management
• College of Science
• College of Electrical Engineering and Electronics
• College of Agricultural Engineering
• College of Fine Arts
• College of Interior Design
• College of Social Science

Other academic majors will be added at a later stage making Akev University one of the most important in Southern of Turkey.
