New projects in Antalya - Five major projects to be launched by the municipality of Antalya in 2017
Antalya municipality plans to launch mega projects to boost its status as a hub for tourism and real estate across Europe and the world (see properties in Turkey).
The city of Antalya is considered as one of the fastest growing metropolises across Europe. The launch of these projects will play a major factor in attracting foreign investments and capital from around the world.
Forbes Magazine has ranked Antalya at ninth place with respect to the number of visitors coming at 14.5 Million in 2015. The mega projects to be launched are:
Konyaalti Port Project:
The project covers the Konyaalti beach which stretches 6 KM long. Included will be many recreational facilities, shopping outlets, restaurants, coffee-shops and bicycle routes in addition to various sports venues such as volleyball, basketball and tennis courts.
Boğaçayı Project – Yacht Club:
The construction of the Yacht Club in Antalya will make a positive and significant impact on tourism. The project which covers 40 sq. km aims at boosting tourism levels as well as making Antalya an idyllic living place due to its advanced infrastructure.
Tünektepe Project:
The Tünektepe Teleferik (Cable-car) was inaugurated on February 1st, 2017 in Konyaalti. A new recreational facility with panoramic views of Antalya will be constructed upon completion of the project along with many restaurants, coffee-shops, and other activities.
Kepez Urban Transformation Project:
- The Kepez city recreational project will be built on an area of 1.7 Million sq. madding significant importance to the city of Antalya
- New colleges and schools will occupy 60,000 sq. m of the designated area
- A new advance medical center will occupy 16,000 sq. m of the designated area
- Senior and retired citizens will get a dedicated residence area covering 45,000 sq. m
- The modern city compound will also contain a museum and a zoo covering 550,000 sq. m
Antalya Seaport:
The Yacht Club project located in close proximity to the city center will be able to handle 426 boats and yachts in addition to its ability to dock large cruise ships.
